Lyncina schilderorum (Iredale, 1939)
Schilders’ cowry, 30mm
Lyncina schilderorum is not rare in Hawaii, although it is much less
common than the similar L.
sulcidentata, with which it occasionally hybridizes. We typically saw
these in ledges and small caves at night, or under rocks during the day.

32.9mm specimen below.

We have also seen Lyncina schilderorum
in the Marshall Islands, but do not have any photos of specimens from there.
